Augustine Ihenyen resumes CGA on the 19th day of January 2026, as the new Group Internal Auditor (CGA).

Augustine joins the Group from United Bank for Africa Plc (UBA), where he held several senior leadership roles, including Team Lead, Internal Control, Group Head, Corporate & Commercial Banking, Branch Manager, and Regional Head (Relief). He has over 25 years of extensive experience in the banking and financial services industry, with a distinguished career covering internal control and audit, branch and regional management, corporate and commercial banking, credit risk management, and relationship management.

He is a Chartered Accountant (ACA) and holds HND and OND qualifications in Accounting from the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti. In addition, he has completed several executive and professional development programmes, including the Senior Executive Management Development Programme at the prestigious Lagos Business School.
 Augustine currently leads and coordinates the Group’s internal audit function, strengthening governance frameworks, enhancing internal controls, and supporting effective risk management and regulatory compliance across the Group. We are confident that his experience and leadership will further reinforce the Group’s commitment to operational excellence and strong corporate governance.
